There are few competitions throughout the world with the history and prestige of the English FA Cup, unfortunately the English FA has the opposite of the Midas touch - It's called everything we breathe on turns to rat shit. Inconsistencies with discipline, dealing with racism and appointing a National manager who has crumbled under pressure in the last 18 months, are all charges that can be thrown at the suits. Every season there are complaints that the FA Cup is losing some of its distinction, then they went one step further. As if playing other top flight games on the same day isn't bad...

Fans of Spanish football may have to wait another week or possibly longer if the strike goes ahead, before the Primera Division officially gets under way. However they can still get an early dose of a number of their countries top players by watching the English Premiership. The number of players currently plying their trade in the league is constantly increasing and even more are beginning to occupy academies and reserve teams throughout the country, there's plenty for fans to feast there eyes upon.

The position left back at Anfield has been a problem position for a while. Djimi Traoré, John Arne Riise, Fábio Aurélio, Stig Inge Bjørnebye, Steve Harkness, Steve Staunton, Emiliano Insua and Paul Kon...
